Hi, I am Krysta Haney.

I am first and foremost a mother of two (who keep me very busy) and a wife. Family is the most important part of my life but like everyone else, I like to relax and have fun and of course get creative! I grew up and currently reside in Lake Orion, MI. I travel throughout Oakland County as well as parts of Macomb County, but I am not limited to those areas.

I have been a photographer for about 15 years, learning and growing each and every year. I didn't get into photography seriously until after I graduated college with a Bachelor's in Communication from Oakland University. Once I decided to turn my hobby into a career I spent some time studying how to develop my art at school until I was able to put what I had learned into action. The best way I have learned is by doing.

Currently I am continuing to take sports photos of my kids (both on and off the field) consisting of Lacrosse and Winterguard, which I have been doing for several years. My experiences have not all been in field, though. I spent 3 years doing school portraiture for one company and 2 seasons as a photographer for Santa at Somerset Mall for another. On my own I have done 2 years doing daycare photos, over a dozen weddings as a lead photographer or a second photographer for someone else, a dozen or so Senior portraits, as well as numerous other portrait style photography.

As much as I have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy working for others, I most like working for myself under my own business because I prefer working with people one on one and getting to know the people I am taking pictures for. I try not to limit myself on the type or style of photography I do. I am always looking to grow, so I prefer to refer to myself as a freelance photographer.
